This is a story about Destiny’s fragility and the fortitude of
Man. The heroes of the film are widows, living in the seacoast village; there are 69 of them at a moment. Their lives are marked with painful loss, but they, like these seashore pine-trees, keep looking to the blue distance and roots into their native coast even deeper.
