A film about the famous Lithuanian expatriate, stained-glass artist and painter Albinas Elskus. Albinas Elskus was born in Kaunas , studied at the Insitute of Applied and Decorative Arts, Kaunas ; later he studied architecture and painting at the Technische Hochschule in Darmstadt, . Elskus has lived in the since 1946. There he he completed the four-year apprenticeship program of the Stained Glass Association of America in Chicago and New York, chaired the New York Lithuanian Artists Union, organised solo exhibitions and published his book The Art of Painting on Glass. The Stained Glass Association of America has awarded Elskus for his lifetime achievement. The artist has created over a hundred monumental works of sacral arts.

 

The film was co-authored by the American Lithuanian art historian Beatričė Kleizaitė-Vasaris, the author of monograph Lietuvių dailininkų darbai Šiaurės Amerikos šventovėse (Works by Lithuanian Artists in North American Sanctuaries).
