The film is based on Yevgeny Zamyatin`s novel "The Flood". Seen against the background of social catastrophes and natural disasters in Petrograd, in the first years after the 1917 revolution , human relationships appear tragically deformed. An ordinary family is trapped in a triangle: a husband, a wife and their adopted daughter.
