„Falling out of a balcony and scratching a chin or to swallowing a fishbone - doesn't hurt, but it hurts to love"
Soviet eighties. A little town in a periphery. In the neighbourhood of eleven year old Emilija after the divorcement of his parents comes to live Rolanas and his dad. A connection sets up between two kids. They are shy and are afraid to open up, so they communicate through the wall or sitting in their own balconies or through the rosette that connects their flats. It appears that Emilijas parents are about to divorce as well. Kids find common topics, but almost a tragic event closes Emilijas way to the balcony. This encourages kids to go for a "real" date.
