The entire world in Nadiezhda’s life fits in small room in the house on the hill and her daily routine. She wakes up every morning to repeat the same daily rituals she did yesterday: to carry water in and out, to fire old oven, to launder, to cook for herself and for the animals huddling around her. In the evening her energy expires and the roaring emptiness enters into her small world.
