Three brothers – Rimas, Jaunius ir Dainius – have little by little taken over the hammer of their father, the famous builder of Biržai region Iržiškevičius. They were teaching each other, from the oldest to the youngest, the craft and secrets of church roofers until they all matured. An exceptional maturity of three young men shows mutual agreement, then everybody’s agreement with himself and finally, with the Heaven and the Earth, for otherwise their first rise on “the stairs to Heaven” might have also been the last.

Thus the earth, the Heaven and the man will be the three co-ordinates on which the space, the time and suggestion of the film will be based.
