Little Watch and Mr. Sleep Lietuviškai »

Director : Valentas Aškinis | Screenplay : Valentas Aškinis, Violeta Palčinskaitė | Cinematographer : Andrius Terebas, Jonas Nosalis | Music : Laimutis Vilkončius | Production designer : Jurgita Vaidilaitė, Rita Kareivienė, Rolandas Petrokas

The script for this animation film was based on poetry by Violeta Palčinskaitė. The film will tell about the little Watch and Mr. Sleep who are going to give a present to all children on New Year’s Eve: a decorated Christmas tree. This is a film-lullaby and a Christmas song.

Mr. Sleep hibernates all nature, animals, parks and cities so that his helper and friend the little man Watch could bring the Christmas tree to the city unnoticed and decorate it. Watch is helped also by little dwarfs who lit the way for him with their lanterns. The baker of the city bakes bagels for the Christmas tree decoration.

The Mr. Sleep character used to be shown successfully in a tailpiece for the programme Good Night Children for a long time. A generation has grown up who relates animation to the Mr. Sleep’s evening programme of animation films.
