The 7th International Film Festival Dokumenta Madrid 10 ended yesterday. A documentary film by Julija and Rimantas Gruodis, The River (Upė), won the first prize in the competition of short documentary films.

Lithuanian Filmmakers among the Names Mentioned in the Subtitles of “Schastye moe”, a Film in the Official Selection of the Cannes International Film Festival

The full-length feature debut My Joy (Schastye moe) directed by Sergei Loznitsa was screened as part of the Official Selection of the Cannes International Film Festival on May 13 – 23. Five Screenings of Lithuanian Feature Full-Length Films during the One-Day European Film Festival "EuroCine"

A Lithuanian film, “The Balcony”, will close the 7th Children’s and Youth Film Festival “Michel”

After its success at the 32nd LUCAS film festival that took place in Frankfurt in September, a feature film by Giedrė Beinoriūtė, The Balcony, continues its international journey. At the beginning of October, this work by the Lithuanian director will be presented at the competition programme of the 7th Children’s and Youth Film Festival “Michel” () which features eight full-length films. The Children’s and Youth Film Festival “Michel” established by the Filmfest Hamburg in 2003 is successful, valued and liked by young and professional audiences.

After the premiere, “The River” goes to the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film

On 3 October at 1 p.m. Forum Cinemas ( Vilnius ) will launch the premiere of The River, a documentary film directed by Rimantas Gruodis and Julija Gruodienė (Auditorium 12). The 30-minutes-long film was produced by its director’s studio Periferija.
