Documentary "Cuckoos Children" by Director Inesa Kurklietytė will be shown in the competition program of Olympia (Greece) Film Festival

Lithuanian Film Centre has allocated financial support of 3000 LTL for presentation of the short documentary film "Cuckoos Children" by Director Inesa Kurklietytė at the 16th Olympia () International Film Festival for Children and Young People. The film will be shown in the competition program of the festival.

The film tells the story of twelve abandoned children living in a remote homestead near the town of Šilutė. They are taken care of by a woman named Ona, who grew up as an orphan herself. Ona takes her foster children to visit their real mothers so that children would know their roots. Three colourful meetings after not seeing each other for several years. Do cuckoos recognize their children?

Olympia International Film Festival will take place 30 November - 7 December, in Pyrgos, . It is organized by the International Children and Youth Film Centre and the European Children's Film Association.
