A Film by Arūnas Matelis Will Be Screened at the International Short Film Festival in Drama, Greece

On September 18–24, the 28^th International Short Films Europe in Shorts will take place in Drama, . The film by Arūnas Matelis Ten Minutes before the Flight of Icarus is included in the festival’s programme.
Film critics and theorists often refer to this film as both feature and documentary. As the author says, “In the beginning, I tried to convince those who had a different opinion that this was a documentary film, until they showed it as a feature in Cannes . Now when feature film festivals ask me for this film or Sunday…, I just shrug it off. When I have to say who the actors in the film are, I simply write “starring: people from Užupis” or that “lift-operator Albertas is performed by real lift-operator Albertas .”
A. Matelis’s film Ten Minutes before the Flight of Icarus has already been awarded with a range of prestigious prizes; it has been ‘rediscovered’ this year after the screening at the Cannes Film Festival, and since then it is touring European film festivals.
