A documentary film by Arūnas Matelis, "Before Flying Back to the Earth", about children with leukaemia and those present next to them, was awarded the main prize: The Golden Dove at The 48th International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, which took place on October 3 –9.
The Silver Dove for a film was awarded to "The Giant Buddhas" by Christian Frei (); The Golden Dove for the best short film went to Jerek Sztandera’s film "For a Miracle" . 19 feature-length (over 45 min.) and short films from all over the world were selected for the
Leipzig festival international competition.
