A prize was awarded in Antwerp for the full-length documentary film Antwerpen Centraal (on the central railroad station in Antwerp ), directed by the well-known Belgian documentary film director Peter Krüger. (The documentary film festival in Vilnius had presented a retrospective of his films.) This movie was filmed by Lithuanian cameraman Rimvydas Leipus (LAC).

Before this film opened in the movie theaters of , it managed to win the Grand Prize at the 29th International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) in Montreal , where its world premier was held last March, in 2011. Antverpen Centraal was also shown at the International Film Festival in Chicago on design and architecture on May 5-9, 2011.

Filmagie, the Flanders magazine on cinema (http://www.flandersimage.com/) featured a scene from this film on its April 2011 cover with renowned actor Johan Leysen. It is through his eyes that we see the station at Antwerp , which is titled the “Iron Cathedral”. The magazine presents this documentary film comprehensively along with its creative team. Meanwhile it refers to the photographic work done by Lithuanian cameraman R. Leipus as masterful.

Antwerpen Centraal – it is an unhurried walk through Antwerp ’s railroad station, a magical locale that resounds in historical and current-day life.

The book Austerlitz by the distinguished author W. G. Sebald inspired the making of this film. For more information about the movie, see http://www.antwerpcentral.be/.
