The Animaevka Film Festival award for the best visual decision, the Crystal Pencil, went to Taip Laima Lėmė ‘Laima Determines the Destiny’, a film by Jūratė Leikaitė Lietuviškai »
2011-09-29 Tarptautinio animacinių filmų festivalio „Tindirindis“ inf.


Taip Laima Lėmė Laima Determines the Destiny’, an animation film by famed director and artist Jūratė Leikaitė–Aškinienė was shown at Animaevka, the XIV International Animation Film Festival during September 2011. The Festival’s jury awarded the special, Crystal Pencil prize and certificate for the Best Visual Decision to this film. The prize and certificate is delivered by diplomatic mail from Mogilev .

Laima Determines the Destiny’, the film by Jūratė Leikaitė-Aškinienė, was also a contender in the 2nd International Film Festival, the Golden Kuker in Sophia Bulgaria, which was held from 2011.09.28 to 2011.10.02.

Further ‘Laima Determines the Destiny was also selected as an awards contender in the International Fredrikstad Animation Festival, which was held in mid-November last year in Fredrikstad.

This film, which has been traveling from one international film festival to another, merited two Silver Crane awards last year. One was for the Best animation film of the year. The other award was for the Best movie composer awarded to the composer of this film, Kipras Mašanauskas.
