Was born in Shiauliai, Lithuania in 1964.

Artistic director of film studio „Banga“ in Kaunas, Lithuania, from 1984.

Entered the film school VGIK in Moscow in 1986 and graduated in 1991, Irakli Kvirikadze master class.

Founded the film studio „Kinema“ - the first independant film studio in Lithuania in 1989.
