A full-length feature film Tajnosti (Mysteries) filmed by the cinematographer Ramūnas Greičius was screened for the first time on May 17 in cities of Czech Republic and Slovakia.

For her previous films (Ene Bene, Vylet) the director of the film Alice Nellis has been awarded Grand Prix of San Francisco and San Sebastian festivals. This year this is the second film shot by Ramūnas Greičius premiered in these countries. In March the director Jan Sverak (whose films won more than 30 prestigious awards, among them an Oscar for his film Kolya) presented his new film Vratne lahvi (Returned Bottles). Ramūnas Greičius was the second cameramen for this film. During three months the film was seen by 900 000 people and has already beaten the box office record of Czech films of all times.

On May 6 Tajnosti by Alice Nellis was screened for journalists. National film magazines Premiere and Cinema gave this film the best ratings and titled it the best film created this year in the country. (There have been 10 full-length films released in the country until now; 18-22 feature films are created in a year.)

Ramūnas Greičius is happy to film good scenarios with good directors and that it is enjoyable to create works that are appreciated both by critics and the audience.

This year the producer of the film Tajnosti has written the letters LAC next to the cinematographer’s name according to the contract. This is a reference to the cinematographer’s membership in the Lithuanian Association of Cinematographers and the European Federation of Cinematographers (IMAGO).

Ramūnas Greičius says: “Until now I have filmed eight full-length feature films and seven of them as a member of the Association of Czech Cinematographers. I have been nominated by this association twice for the title of the best cinematographer of the country. This is a great appreciation to a foreigner when such an association joins over 500 competing local cinematographers. Now I represent the Lithuanian Association of Cinematographers which is still forming. You can count its members on the fingers of two hands. It has been founded not to distribute awards, but to do the difficult educational job in . Having filmed several short films in and started teaching at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre I have understood that a time has come to return to little by little. If not physically yet, then at least with my work and energy, and if successful – with victories.”
