“The Boy and the Sea” directed by Tomas Donela won the Best Short Film Award in Bucharest Film Festival

The Best Film Award in the short film and documentary competition of the international Bucharest Film Festival, BFF that took place on May 4–14 was awarded to a Lithuanian film directed by Tomas Donela, The Boy and the Sea. The jury has awarded Tomas Donela’s film for “a sense of loss conveyed in a poetic and simple cinematic language”.
The Bucharest Film Festival is a part of the event Cultural Spring of Bucharest which includes also the International Theatre and International Jazz Festivals. The international programme of the film festival focuses mostly on current issues of Central and South-Eastern European cinema.
