The International Animated Film Festival Tindirindis, which took place on 19 – 22 October 2006 in
Vilnius , awarded a film by Aurika and Algirdas Selenis, The Gipsy and the Dragon (2006), a special prize of the jury for expressed artistry in a film on a folk subject. This year, the jury of the competition films for children programme consisted of the famous director of animated films Roze Stiebra (Latvia), the founder of the European Children’s Film Association and Board member Dick de Jonge (The Netherlands) and the laureate of many international festivals, director and artist of animated films Valentinas Teleginas (he works for Multtelefilm and Pilot studios, Russia).
This year, the film The Gypsy and the Dragon was warmly met also by foreign audiences and experts in animated film during the competition programmes of film festivals Anifest and Cartoon Club in
Rimini (Italy).
